Veteran's Day

This year, just like every other year, the Walnut Grove FFA had their yearly FFA Veteran's Day Lunch. This is when the FFA members cook meat, beans, and fry potatoes all day until our guests arrive. This year we had total of 40 guests present (this included Veterans AND their family and friends). Josh Buckner praying before lunch.

After setting out on what started to be a beautiful moring, turned into rain, rain, rain, and did i mention RAIN? We set out to head to Elephant Rock. Since there was nothing but rain outside, all of the students were on cell phones, listining to I-Pods, playing PSPs or sleeping.

We finally arrived at Elephant Rock. Still rainin for about 10 minutes. But it died down and we all set out on an adventure. Climbing the wet slippery rocks, playing follow the leader, and trying not to break an arm.

On Monday the 15th, the Walnut Grove FFA had 9 members who attended the Area 10 Mixer. We hiked, looked at the fish hatcheries, and had hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. We mingled other FFA chapters and talked about what everyone had planned for the upcoming year. On the way home we stopped for custard in Bolivar.
